Haley Griffin is a music industry professional based in Wisconsin. Griffin started voice lessons at age six and placed in county singing contests. As a teen, she was accepted into Arrowhead High School’s “Broadway Company,” earned several exemplary awards in the Wisconsin State Solo Ensemble and was selected as Sunset Playhouse’s high school “Rising Star” for their Musical MainStage series.
Griffin went on to earn a vocal scholarship at Berklee College of Music, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Professional Music, and concentrations of study in English and Songwriting. Notable instruction includes songwriting with Grammy-winning producer Arcelious “Swagg” Harris (H.E.R., Kehlani, Alicia Keys), improvisation with Grammy winner, Paula Cole, and poetry with renowned wordsmith, Pat Pattison, who went on to select Griffin as Berklee’s representative in the Intercollegiate Undergraduate Poetry Festival - her poem, “Go To Therapy,” was featured in the chapbook.
During college, Griffin interned at music analysis company Hit Songs Deconstructed, PR firm Powderfinger Promotions, and international booking agency, MN2S, who went on to hire Griffin as a content writer. Meanwhile, she founded her private vocal studio in 2019.
By 2021, Griffin received a fellowship and scholarship to attend USC’s “Specialized Journalism: The Arts” master’s program, with an emphasis in music. During her studies, she was the Music Editor for college magazine, Ampersand LA, had one-on-one weekly mentorship sessions with Grammy-nominated Patrice Rushen, and was handpicked to represent her university in the 20th Anniversary Pop Conference. This is also where her passion for Vocology began under the instruction of Lynn Helding, which she regularly incorporates in her vocal coaching.
Upon graduation, Griffin interned for leading PR firm Shore Fire Media and was promoted to Publicity Assistant before the program’s conclusion. Griffin transformed Shore Fire’s internship program during her tenure with the company, and in just over year, she was promoted to Junior Account Executive; the news was picked up by Celebrity Access. Some of her past clients include Wasserman Music, Kool & the Gang, Craig David, José James, Phillip Phillips, BLKBOK, grentperez, ROSIE, Paisley Park, The Super Bowl Music Fest, and many more.
After two years working as an entertainment publicist, Griffin decided to exit her role to pursue her own artistry, teaching and writing full time. This started with performing in the Madison Symphony Chorus and joining the voice faculty at Lake Country Conservatory of Music. To date, Griffin has worked with students ranging from 4 to 80 years old, with experience in gender-affirming vocal work, teaching sight-singing, and aiding students with existing vocal disorders. Griffin’s passion for music education led her to join the Wisconsin School Music Association, and adjudicates vocal events at solo ensemble competitions across the state.
As a soloist, Griffin is a featured soloist at Christ the King Church and is a recurring performer in Sunset Playhouse’s Musical MainStage series. She was also an alternate for the 2024 national competition, American Traditions Vocal Competition – the contestants include several MET and Broadway alumni. More recently, she put together an acoustic setlist with guitarist Leland Hyman and is lining up gigs across Southeast Wisconsin - they had their debut at Ruben’s Cocktail Lounge in Oconomowoc in April 2025. Additionally, she will be seen in over thirty upcoming performances for the musical The Frog Pal, which is a fresh take on the Frog Prince fairytale. Traveling to schools in association with Sunset Playhouse’s Bug in a Rug Theater, Griffin will be playing the role of Maddie. There will be four performances open to the public at Sunset Playhouse in April (see events tab).
As a freelance writer, Griffin has been published in Shepherd Express and the Los Angeles Review of Books. Personal projects include drafting her fiction novels and her debut album. She has two original songs, “Devotion” and “ELSE,” available on all streaming platforms. Devotion was mastered in Abbey Road Studios by Alex Gordon (Florence + The Machine, Sigrid).
